Our Stud
Millsteps Stud is a small family-run establishment set in acres of beautiful rolling Essex countryside, yet ideally situated within easy reach of London and transport links to the North. Our horses are part of the family and as such, you will find a friendly and unpretentious welcome on visiting our setting.
Romeo
We are proud of our highly regarded stallion, Romeo, whose exquisite breeding and charming offspring mean he is used regularly for our clients’ mares, year upon year. Romeo is “as gentle as a lamb”, with a wonderful temperament – a trait which passes though his bloodlines.
Breeding
Romeo is by Orlando, an exceptional stallion who was bred by H.M. The Queen. Romeo’s sire has Dutch jumping blood and the same bloodlines as Marius and Milton. On the dam side, Romeo is out of La Verte Gleam whose grandfather, Bustino is the famous Derby Winner. Please feel free to take a glance at his stud card (pdf)
Potential
We are always proud to hear success stories from our clients. Our foals have the potential to become top competition sports horses, being easily trainable and of the highest calibre.
